Who we are

"I founded RSSA because I wanted a place where being Russian-speaking felt like a connection, not an explanation."

All
Are welcome

The Russian Speaking Student Association brings together students who share a language and a curiosity for culture — at one of Europe's most international universities.

Located in Lugano — where Italy, Switzerland, and the world converge — RSSA creates a space to connect, celebrate culture, and build lasting friendships. We are open to every member of the USI community: language is a meeting place, not a dividing line.

Every event is planned by students, for students.

Non-profit

Run entirely on goodwill and student energy.

Any USI student is welcome, regardless of background.

"Language and culture
are not threats,

In Lugano — at the intersection of Swiss precision and Mediterranean warmth — we choose connection over division, and curiosity over isolation.
